The Museum of Me: Egocentric Interactive Marketing

Interactive marketing is hot s*!t and you’re going to see more and more of it from here on out. We’re in love with the idea of ‘choosing our own adventure,’ and the advertising world is taking full advantage of that.

Intel launched their ‘Museum of Me’ earlier this week, turning your facebook page into a virtual art gallery exhibit. And it’s pretty freaking cool!

They call it a ‘visual archive of your social life,’ but what they actually mean is your social media life. Plenty of people who have no social life will be able to create one of these exhibits.

In any case, Intel’s Museum of Me is getting a lot of exposure, which means a lot of money is flowing in advertising–without the same old tricks of advertising. The exhibit is something you want to watch and share with everyone. And suddenly, you and all your friends are advocates for Intel.

Enjoy the future of advertising.
