Seed Edition Giving Away $100 million

Seed Edition is a new startup offering their services free of charge to startups until they make their first $1 Million.

Seed Edition, is a ‘Platform As A Service’ (PaaS) and allows startups that offer recurring subscriptions to manage their customer base.  Seed Edition handles billing as well as any subscription upgrades or downgrades, freeing their entrepreneur clients to focus on building product and signing up customers.

The founders of Seed Edition, T. J. Laher, and Ben Wu, graduates of UC Berkeley and Stanford, describe themselves as being in “double stealth” mode and just signed up their first 100 private Beta users.  These first 100 one can us the platform free of charge until they make their first $1 million in revenue.  After that Seed Edition will start charging $500 per month. When I asked them why, Laher replied,  “Because the first million is the hardest.”
