World, I would like to introduce you to Chicago—your sexy, new and exciting entrepreneurial hub.
Chicago has been exploding with entrepreneurial activity! The Built In Chicago Launch Party was the kickoff party to just the beginning of what’s to come in Chi-town. Chicago’s tech and start-up scene has been blowing up and we’re excited to see more. One entrepreneur described it as “nothing but awesomeness out here.”
Northern Cali ain’t got nothin’ on us- “We are built in Chicago!”
The sold out Built In Chicago (BIC) event highlighted all the energy and excitement within the Chicago start-up community. The packed room was filled with buzz as Matt Moog, founder of BIC, shared his excitement surrounding the growth of BIC and Chicago’s start-up scene. Moog put a spotlight on several start-ups, including A Space Apart, Photogram, Zaarly, and Vlinks Media. Most importantly, he did the big reveal of the new BIC logo.
BIC is a nonprofit dedicated “to connect, educate, and promote the growing digital community in Chicago.” And it’s been doing just that by building a network of resources, connections, advice and more.
Executive Director, Maria Katris, was described as a “whirlwind of activity” organizing and running this event, and what a great event it was! The event went on so late that the Merchandise Mart Security had to escort all the late minglers out the door… and then the out the corridors… and even out the lobby.
What can we say? We just can’t get enough!
